The Healing Power of JC – At Voices of the South FRINGE Theater Festival

A young woman processes a breakup by way of three John Cusack movies. It’s a story about ritual, heart-healing, and the magic of John Cusack on-screen and larger than life, doling out indiesoul insights like a pop-culture love minister. The Healing Power of JC is a short experimental play written and directed by Sara Kaye Larson, performed by Patty King, with additional producing and directing help from Natalie Higdon.

The Fringe festival is an opportunity to see artists try out new ideas. Each performance must be loaded in and out in ten minutes. “The Healing Power of JC” is experimental in that it casts movie clips as another character. It’s going to be a technical feat. Comes see if they can pull it off.

Performances will be at the Voice of the South theater at 1000 Cooper St, Memphis, TN 38104 on the following dates:

Saturday 4/14 3:45pm – 4:30pm
Sunday 4/15 6:30pm – 7:15pm
