Withers Collection Museum and Gallery, in collaboration with Mercedes Benz of Memphis and Global Innovation Now, are partnering to commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through the “Pictures Tell the Story” MLK50 Campaign. The campaign provides youth a unique opportunity to participate in the reenactment of the iconic “I Am A Man” photo, which symbolizes the Sanitation Workers Strike of 1968. Participants will have the opportunity to tour the Withers Collection Museum and Gallery, participate in the “I AM A Man” photo reenactment, receive a MLK50 Commemorative t-shirt and learn about its contributions to Memphis history. The reenactment photography sessions must be completed by appointment. School representatives must call Withers Collection Museum and Gallery at 901-523-2344 to schedule the sessions
