Latino Memphis Cinco K Mayo 5KMay 7, 2016, 9:00 am-10:00 am

Ready, Set, Run!
It’s that time again to grab your running shoes and head to Overton Park for the Cinco K Mayo happening at the Latino Memphis Festival.

The 5K Race takes place on Saturday, May 7th at 9 am. The 5K is great for seasoned runners, newbie runners and everyone in between. Pre-registration is $25 and includes a goodie bag and a keepsake t-shirt. You’ll find some things have not changed like prizes for overall winners and of course free local and imported beer for runners that are 21+. One thing you won’t want to miss out on this year is free Brazilian BBQ! Yes, after you cross the finish line you can be one of the first to get your hands on some delicious Brazilian barbecue. After you have fueled up, samba your way to the Latino Memphis Festival and escape to a cultural paradise celebrating the richness and diversity of Brazil where Memphians can enjoy Brazilian music, performances, great food and fun. Make sure to stop by the Salsa-Making Championship tent and taste handmade salsas and vote for your fave! You’ll also want to check out the outdoor marketplace featuring local shops and vendors, grab a Caipirinha cocktail, and experience the Carnival Parade!
