MFW is about cultivating and celebrating local and regional fashion through designers, photographers, models and boutiques. Proceeds from official events benefit The Memphis Fashion Design Network. The non-profit will bring and keep the region’s top emerging designers in Memphis where their talent can help fuel economic growth. Key elements for the MFDN are education, workforce development, and manufacturing and fashion design infrastructure.
With Memphis Fashion Week, The Lab incubator, the Emerging Memphis Designer Project (EMDP) and Memphis College of Art classes, leaders in the Memphis fashion industry will help to cultivate and educate local Memphis designers. Our two newest and most exciting programs are The Lab and the implementation of certificate courses at Memphis College of Art. By teaming up with seasoned fashion industry professionals throughout the country, the Memphis Fashion Design Network is able to create a one of a kind program that will draw designers to Memphis both regionally and nationally, creating a fashion design industry like Memphis has never had before.
