Memphis theatre company, Friends of George’s (FOG), announces the upcoming debut of its new drag musical comedy, A Krisko County Christmas. Opening Friday, November 10 at Evergreen Theatre, A Krisko County Christmas will play November 10, 11 and November 17, 18 at 8:00 pm.
The story takes place at George’s Truck Stop and Drag Bar, a fictitious diner located in Krisko County where drag queens have made their home.
Maybelline (Gina Lola Jupiter) and Mary Kay (Allysun Wunderland) have been co-owners of the diner for years and have seen it all. This year, however, Maybelline receives some disturbing news about her past which throws her application to the Krisko County Ladies Auxiliary into jeopardy.
Will she get in to the exclusive club? Will Mary Kay successfully spike the egg nog? Will Delta Fawcett (Goldie Dee) get to portray the Virgin Mary in her holiday show? Will Beverly Ann (Imagene Azzengraber) maintain her firm grip on Krisko County society?
