Memphis Animal Services was recently recognized at the Best Friends National Animal Society national conference as one of five shelters/rescues across the country making great strides toward Best Friends' goal of making the nation no-kill by 2025. 10 years ago, the shelter was euthanizing 80%+ of the animals taken in. In the past year, we have saved on average 89% of the animals we've taken in. There's still a lot of work to do--and the work will never end--but we're incredibly proud of the Memphis community for helping make this possible!
