365 Things to Do in Memphis #62: Climb the Skyscraper at CMOM

Intern Raquel and her son tackle assignment #62 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis: climbing the Skyscraper at the Children's Museum of Memphis:

Nearly every kid growing up in Memphis visits the Children's Museum on occasion. One of it's largest permanent attractions is the sky scraper. Parents may be wary of the exhibit, or fearful that their young children may get stuck in the seemingly tiny cages. As it turns out, while the museum staff is on hand for a child retrival if necessary, it's hardly ever needed.

The learning-while-playing function of the museum is used whenever a kid gets stuck and usually, a member of the CMOM staff can talk a child through the maze of wood and wire cages to freedom. Of course, the limber parents are always welcome to attempt a retrival if necessary.

CMOM is open seven days a week from 9am-5pm. Admission is $15. Don't forget to check out the Carousel, too.
