2018 Guide To Memphis Crawfish Festivals

Crawfish season has arrived in Memphis! Here are the dates and info for 2018’s crawfish festivals and places that do crawfish specials and boils. I’ll be updating this as the season goes on. Submit your event here.

Festivals + One Day Events

Sounds Good Memphis Samadei Gras Carnival
Saturday, February 10
6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
at Sounds Good Memphis, Cooper Young venue at 831 S. Cooper Street

They’ll have live local music, a bar with Hurricanes, etc., and food from Crawfish Shack, Gemini Pie, and Voodoo Cafe Food Trucks. Facebook says the tickets are $17.89.

A Mighty Fat Tuesday 
Tuesday, Feb. 13
5 p.m.
Bayou, Overton Square

The Bayou’s annual Fat Tuesday party is your dependably energetic Mardi Gras throwdown. They’ll have a crawfish boil starting at 5 p.m. while the mudbugs last, $3 pints, $3 Abitas, $12 beer buckets, and the Mighty Souls Brass Band from 8:30 p.m to 1 p.m. No cover.

Celtic’s Fat Tuesday Party 
Tuesday, Feb. 13
6 p.m.
Celtic Crossing in Cooper Young

Celtic will have a crawfish boil, tunes from DJ Tree, and beer specials for Mardi Gras. No word on the cover charge.

Overton Square’s Crawfish Festival
Saturday April 14, 2018
noon to 6 p.m.
Overton Square and surrounding streets
free to enter, food and drink for sale

April is the month for crawfish festivals in Memphis. The Rajun Cajun Crawfish fest always has a gumbo contest as well.

Porter Leath’s Rajun Cajun Crawfish Fest
April 15, 2018
11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Wagner Place and Riverside Drive between Union Avenue and Beale Street
free to enter, food and drink for sale (crawfish is usually $20 for 3 pounds, but TBA)
VIP “Swamp Tent” tickets available on Feb. 1

Cooper Young Community Farmers Market Crawfish Boil

Boils and Specials

Max’s Sports Bar will host crawfish boils on Saturdays throughout the season weather permitting, starting at noon each week. Get one pound for $12 for two pounds for $20, both include sides.

Ellis Seafood (1379 Getwell) sells fresh, live crawfish by the pound.

Flying Fish downtown offers boiled crawfish when available, a fried crawfish poboy, and crawfish chowder.

The Bluff on Highland will host crawfish boils every Saturday starting on Feb. 3 from noon until they run out.

Keep an eye on Memphis Mudbugs and Crawfish Shack.

Cajun Catfish Co. in Collierville will have crawfish in a few weeks, available daily plus all-you-can-eat specials on Tuesdays at 5 p.m. Watch their FB page to find out when they’ll start.

Mortimer’s usually offers crawfish specials every Sunday, but I don’t think they’ve started yet. I will update y’all.

    Hi,
    Cajun Catfish Company will have Crawfish in a few weeks. The cold weather has slowed the growth of the mud bugs. They will have 3lb boils every day and All You Can Eat Crawfish every Tuesday after 5:00 throughout the season! Market price. Watch our Facebook for timing. Locally owned with a long history in the food service industry.

    Mardi Gras Memphis has a Mardi Gras Celebration with live music and food specials on Fat Tuesday from 3pm-9pm. In addition, they will have boiled crawfish Thursday- Saturday in about 2 weeks.

    Doubtful that there will be a Harbortown Crawfish Festival this year. Movie and Pizza usually put it on and they have been closed for a while now.
