Memphis Is Ranked On Fodor’s 2018 Go List

Looking for some Memphis love and positivity today? The I Love Memphis Blog has you covered.

Memphis is featured on Fodor’s yearly list of “52 places to remind you what a wonderful world this is”, aka the Go List. That makes me feel like this:

The list, which came out in November, has Memphis as No. 6 overall. It’s the highest-ranked U.S. destination, the only U.S. city in the top 10, and only one of two in the top 15. With only U.S. eight cities making it to the list at all this year, this is something we can be proud of – at least where our little corner of the world is concerned.

Fodor’s says it’s our music history, outstanding BBQ, and our “soul” that earned us a top spot on the prestigious list. Thanks, Fodor People, we totally agree.

They make several solid recommendations for food, lodging, and things to do, so be sure to read that here. What would you add to the list? How’s it feel for others to see that Memphis is just as love-worthy as we think it is?

Shout out to the folks at Graceland for sending me this hot tip for the blog. If you have hot tips, you can email me hollywhitfield@memphistravel.com.

ALSO if you’re looking for even more positive Memphis stories, listen to this past weekend’s I Love Memphis Podcast clip, which is all about the awesome things that happened in 2017. Listen below or click here.

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.
