Take In The View At Memphis’ New Rooftop Bar

You have a brand-new place to enjoy drinks in downtown Memphis: The View. This new rooftop bar in Memphis is on top of the Residence Inn downtown at 11o Monroe Avenue.

Here’s the catch: they are only open on Thursdays and Fridays from 4 p.m. – ’til, with a happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. They plan to have live music often, and there’s no cover or age restriction.

If you’re not familiar, The Residence Inn is at the corner of Monroe and Main Street, catty-corner to Flight restaurant. Here are some photos of the space up there:

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.

    Holly!!! Help!!!

My ship, the USS POINT LOMA will be having our 3rd reunion here in Memphis. The first one was in Vegas, baby. The second one was in San Diego, our former home port. Reunion #3, in 2020, will be HERE. I need your help finding a really nice hotel to HQ out of. The catch, I would like to have a rooftop bar.

The Peabody is #1 on my list
The Residence Inn on Monroe is #2
    The Madison is #3

I’d appreciate any input or advice from you.

Hi Barry! Those are all great hotels and the only three spots that have a rooftop bar in Memphis. You really can’t go wrong. They may all have limited hours for their rooftop bars – the Peabody’s is not a regular thing – so I would check that out. I think the Madison, being the closest to the river, will have the very best view. But again, you can’t go wrong with these options.
