Last Minute Summer Symphony VIP Giveaway! (Giveaway Ended)

Hey Memphis! I've just received word that the Symphony has two VIP tickets under the name "I Love Memphis Blog Readers" for this Saturday night's Summer Symphony at the Memphis Botanic Garden. Isn't that nice of them?

Scroll on to find out how to win.  Giveaway over! Congrats to the winner Jake Trigg!

SummerSymphony

This Saturday's concert is the inaugural Summer Symphony at the Memphis Botanic Garden.  You can sit under the stars and hear our very own Symphony along with Beale Street diva Susan Marshall and her band perform all kinds of music - Porgy & Bess, Star Wars, Susan Marshall originals, and even Adele.

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the gates, which open at 5:30 p.m. The music starts at 7:30 p.m. and you're welcome to bring your chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets. Kids are welcome; their tickets are just $10.

This Saturday's concert is going to be a ton of fun, so buy your tickets right here (you can save $5 by buying them ahead of time), and pack up your Memphis picnic (find suggestions for local picnic items here and here).

How to win:

VIP tickets are $75 per person and include entrance to the VIP tent with hors d'oeuvres and drinks and preferred lawn seating. Buy them here, or if you want to enter to win a pair, leave me a comment telling me who you'll take with you as your +1.

This would be a lovely way to kick off the summer, don't you think?

I'll do a random drawing on Friday, May 27 at 3 p.m., so don't delay in commenting. Be sure to check your email after 3 p.m.

For this event, I would take my Mom! I moved back to Memphis after 13 years (almost a year ago...WOW)and our bond has become even stronger. I would take my Mom because she is always thinking of ways to help others and this would be a great way to show her my appreciation. I have been looking for different events for us to do together and this might be the beginning of something wonderful. Memphis has changed so much and I keep discovering new opportunities and locations to explore. This would be amazing!

I would take my best friend of 8 years Karri. She absolutely loves the summer symphony series (though she has been, I have never been; I just relocated to Downtown Memphis from St. Petersburg FL ... I would enjoy going and I know she would be super stoked to go.... she just graduated (last week) from Respiratory Therapy School to go off and save lives and stuff.... she worked her butt off the past few years earning her degree and because of the hard work she had put in being a full time student, going to clinical and working full time, we have not been able to spend nearly any time together like we used to. I'm beyond proud of her for graduating ( 3.8 GPA ) and excited to see her FINALLY (after all the hard work, missed nights going out with friends, etc.) accomplishing what she had set her heart on and turning the page to start a brand new exciting chapter in her life. I would love to be able to take her to the garden as a final "you go Glenn Coco" celebration for achieving her dreams.
