Get Stylish At Memphis Fashion Week 2016
The models are selected, the designers have assembled their pieces, and the fashion community of Memphis is gearing up for another Memphis Fashion Week, which kicks off today.
MFW brings together local and national designers, models, photographers, artists, and other fashion industry types for several days of runway shows, parties, and boutique events. This year is the 5th anniversary for MFW, and it's only going to get bigger - so get in on the ground floor.
In addition to two shopping/stylist events, there are two runways shows this weekend. There are a couple of special elements, too: a jewelry pull from Kendra Scott (like a wine pull), plus Phillip Ashley will premier his vegan chocolate line and Holliday Flowers will create unique displays for the events.
More than just a showcase, MFW is also about developing the fashion community in Memphis. The Emerging Memphis Designer Project (EMDP) features 17 up-and-coming local designers who were chosen based on submissions.
You can read more about the EMDP designers and models in this great Memphis Flyer article by Sophorn Kuoy.
