Another Made Up Holiday Worth Celebrating: Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day

The internet has another great arbitrary food-related holiday today, and it’s one I know Memphians can get behind: Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day.

A few in the area that I’m partial to:

– The grilled cheese from Fuel Food Truck (with avocado and bacon, when available)

– Grilled pimento cheese sandwich from Hammer & Ale

– The Deluxe Grilled Cheese from Bardog. This has a bunch of meat on it, which begs the question – when does a grilled cheese cease to be a grilled cheese? Discuss among yourselves.

– Basically any of them from Say Cheese food truck, paired with tomato soup, of course.

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.
