16 Memphis Pies For National Pie Day
National Pie Day is tomorrow! To celebrate, here is a post filled with pies from around town, in no particular order. Think of it as a family photo album of the Mid-South’s pies. There are probably a few more I could add to this list, too. Let me know your favorites in the comments!
Ed. Note: 1. This is an updated post from last year. 2. Yes, there is another “Pi Day” on March 14, which refers to the number 3.14 and is also celebrated by eating pie. It’s OK – we can have two pie days.
1. Pecan Pie from Muddy’s

2. Apple Crisp Pie A La Mode from H&M Dessert Lounge
The new-ish dessert lounge in Midtown (1586 Madison Avenue) serves up a ton of great desserts, including an apple crisp pie.
3. Peanut Butter Pie from Hog and Hominy

4. Slap Yo Mama Chocolate Pie from The Pie Folks

5. Deep Dish Apple Pie from Sweet Grass/Next Door
The Apple Pie at Sweet Grass consists of layers of thinly sliced apples, sour cream, and a crisp crust. Read more about Sweet Grass here.

7. Blackberry Pie from Cafe Eclectic

Just for fun. They have giant bins of these at the Bass Pro Pyramid for some reason.
