Here’s your guide to this week in Memphis, plus a preview of this weekend – including the St. Jude Marathon and a ton of holiday parades this Saturday.

– Monday

Huey’s Collierville has Trivia Night on Mondays. Huey’s Southaven has Karaoke Night on Mondays. All of Huey’s special events have now been added to the calendar. Host a trivia or karaoke night? Submit it here.

– Tuesday

I Love Memphis + Grizzly Bear Blues + Fan Essentials GRIZZ WATCH PARTY at the Rec Room
It’s a big ol’ get together at the Rec Room to watch the Grizzlies v. Pelicans on the big screens starting at 6:30 p.m. with a tip-off at 7 p.m. Drink discounts, food from Hot Mess Burritos food truck for sale, Fan Essentials gear for sale PLUS they’re giving away a Mike Conley jersey (contest instructions here). Meet the intrepid bloggers from GBB and cheer on the Grizz. Free to attend! More details here.

The Memphis Tiger men’s basketball team plays Louisiana Tech at 8 p.m. at FedExForum.

Collierville Christmas Tree Lighting in the Town Square
Enjoy hot chocolate, entertainment and a Christmas tree lighting and Santa’s arrival.

St. Jude Marathon Poster-Making Party at Breakaway Running Midtown
Make Cheering Section posters for Saturday’s marathon from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

– Wednesday

Don’t Be Afraid of the Holidays Memphis Comedy Special at the Hi-Tone
Josh McLane hosts a night of comedy with Ambrose Jones, Jordan Jensen, Tommy Oler, Amanda Walker, and Jared Herring, plus special appearances by Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Show is $5, starts at 8:15 p.m., and is 21 and up.

The Memphis Brooks Museum will show indie film “A Poem Is A Naked Person”, a documentary about Leon Russell at 7 p.m.

Hattiloo Theatre performs “If Scrooge Was A Brother” this Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at their location in Overton Square. Most of the shows this holiday season are already sold out, so this week or next Wed. and Thur. (Dec. 16 – 17) are your only chances. Buy your tickets ASAP.

– Thursday

“Light Up The Square” holiday open houses and fun at Overton Square
Madison Ave. will be shut down 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday for a free community event – shops will have open houses, there will be lots of live music, Amurica Photo w/ Santa, and a big tree.

The Grizzlies play the Spurs at FedExForum at 8:30 p.m.

All Week

Starry Nights at Shelby Farms is open nightly starting at 6 p.m. until December 27. The Enchanted Forest at the Pink Palace is open daily until December 31. The Metal Museum Holiday Store is open daily until January 3.

– Weekend

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Memphis has their annual Toy Bash at Propcellar on Friday at 7 p.m.

Ballet Memphis’ The Nutcracker is at The Orpheum Theatre Friday – Sunday.  Theatre Memphis’ A Christmas Carols opens on Friday and runs through Dec. 23. Peter Pan is at Playhouse on the Square on select days through Jan. 10.

Caritas Village hosts their holiday market on Friday and Saturday. Choose901 will have their Pop-Up Shop on Friday and Saturday. The Brooks Museum will host an artist’s holiday market on Sunday.

Saturday is the St. Jude Marathon. Come out to the I Love Memphis Cheering Section at Mile 6 for free donuts and coffee while you cheer on the runners (read: heroes) who are supporting the kids at St. Jude. More details on the Cheering Section here.

Expect traffic delays on Saturday morning in Midtown and Downtown because of the Marathon.

It’s the weekend for a ton of holiday parades in the Memphis area:
Collierville on Friday at 7 p.m.
Millington on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Olive Branch on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Arlington on Saturday at 3 p.m.
Bartlett on Saturday at 4 p.m.
Downtown Memphis (Beale St.) on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Memphis Tigers men’s basketball team plays Southeast Missouri at FedExForum at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The Flying Saucer’s annual Stumbling Santa Pub Crawl is on Saturday at 7 p.m. at their downtown Memphis location. Yes, it’s drinking and dressing up like Santas and elves, but it’s also a Toy Drive and benefit for Porter-Leath.

The Grizzlies play the Suns at 2:30 p.m. at FedExForum.
