Take The Red, White, and Brew Backbeat Tour

Take The Red, White, and Brew Backbeat Tour

This Saturday, July 11, Backbeat Tours will offer a new "Red, White, and Brew Tour" around town. They'll stop for a tour and tasting at High Cotton Brewery, then head to Cooper Young for a tasting at Memphis Made Brewing, where you'll also get some Aldo's pizza.

I think if you you like beer, haven't seen the breweries yet, and like musical entertainment, this tour might be good for you. If you haven't taken a Backbeat Tour, know that you'll be riding a vintage bus with a talented musician as your singing tour guide.

Tickets are $39 per person and include two beer tastings, two slices of Aldo's pizza, a souvenir glass, plus your transportation and tours. There are some tickets left, so go ahead and reserve your spot before Saturday to ensure a seat. You must be 21 or older to go on this tour.

You can bring any food or beverages (including alcohol) with you on the ride, which begins and ends at B.B. King's downtown. You're also welcome to buy additional food and beer. The tour is three hours long and starts at 6 p.m.

I talked with the Backbeat folks, and they said they might do another tour in the future sometime, but for now it's just this Saturday. They said they might also consider adding in some other local breweries. I really hope they do. I think that could make this something great, especially for visitors who want to check out Memphis' craft beer scene all in one afternoon or evening.

I don't know of any tours that currently visit all the breweries, so it's a good opportunity just waiting for the taking. In the meantime, click here to reserve your spot for the first ever Red, White, and Brew Backbeat Tour.
