Where To Get Your Growler Filled In Memphis

Posted by Holly Whitfield | February 3rd 2015 2940 0

Turns out that Memphians really love their beer, especially their craft and locally-brewed beer. And buying growlers (jugs of beer poured directly from a tap) is all the rage. Growler filling stations have popped up everywhere.

For the last few weeks, I've been working with my pal Ryan Guess from the new-ish Memphis beer site Memphis Craft Beer to put together this directory of all the places in Memphis that you can get your growler filled.

Joe's Liquor Growler Station

At Joe's Wine and Liquor. If you Tweet/Instagram and tag them, it shows up on the screen at the station.

If you haven’t checked out memphiscraftbeer.com and you’re a beer fan, you’ll definitely want to head over there. Ryan has an amazing Memphis Beer Map with the best places to drink, buy, fill, and get supplies for brewing beer, plus a series of posts and videos on the people, places, and ingredients behind Memphis’ favorite beverage. Follow Memphis Craft Beer on Twitter or Facebook, too.

Did we leave a growler station off? No worries. Just leave a comment and we'll get it added.

A note from Ryan of Memphis Craft Beer

As Memphis taste for craft beer grows, so will the number of places to get growler fills. I’m aware of at least four new locations coming in the near future so be looking out for updates to this article.

In the meantime, enjoy the selections at the above spots and follow me online for updates on the Mid-South's beer scene.

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.

Thanks for the mention! Another distinguishing feature of our growler station are our international taps. We offer some great European options. Right now we have Weihenstephan Hefeweiss and Palm Belgian Pale Ale.

The link to the Facebook page for pyramid wine and spirits is directing to a store in NYC instead. Just FYI. Great list and resource!
