The blog is great.  I was searching for an events list for Martin Luther King Jr. Day tomorrow. Your list for January doesn't mention it all. I think that is a glaring omission. Please keep this in mind for your 2016 list.

Epic Vision: Paintings by Michael Williams and Mattie Williams

Work on view April 30-May 2 / Crosstown Arts, 430 N. Cleveland, Memphis, TN / Reception: Saturday, May 2, 6-8 pm / Crosstown Arts is pleased to present an exhibition of paintings by Crosstown resident Michael Williams and his mother, Mattie Williams. The exhibition over 50 paintings explores their relationship as mother and son, and as artists. Although working in clearly distinct styles, their process involves exchange, as Mattie inspired Michael to paint, and Michael names Mattie’s paintings. Both artists are self-taught, and Michael is blind.
