May 2013 Reply Denise Brooks says: December 19, 2013 at 11:20 pm My son got married in May and he and his wife moved to an apartment in Midtown on the verge of Downtown. My daughter started her freshman year at U of M in August. Because of these two life events, I have spent more time in these parts of the city than ever before in the 26 years I have lived here. I'm so happy that I have discovered so many interesting restaurants, neighborhoods, shopping, and entertainment venues in the U of M, Midtown and Downtown areas that I never knew existed. There's a lot more to do, and to be proud of, in this town than most of us suburbanites could imagine. Thankful to say I have burst out of my safe little bubble!
