Wednesday News Update: Everybody Get in the Pool with Z-Bo Edition

Happy Wednesday, y'all.

Today in Memphis, Mike Miller returns, the Rock'n'Soul museum gives Tennessee residents a break, and we figure out what bicycles have to do with ending poverty. Also, Z-Bo gets in the pool.

All of that (and more) is in today's Memphis news update.

- The Rock'n'Soul Museum is now offering free admission for Tennessee residents on Tuesdays. All you have to do is show a valid state ID.

- There's a correlation between bicycles and the elimination of poverty, and the Green Lane Project thinks that Memphis has it figured out.

- Good news, beer drinkers: A.S. Barboro is going to start offering high alcohol content beers from Shafly, Lazy Magnolia, Samuel Adams and Southern Tier in Memphis.

- The MPD is having a back-to-school basketball tournament and school supply distribution party at the Mt. Moriah station on Saturday.

- Attention, shoppers: Tennesee's annual sales tax holiday starts on Friday.

- I can't tell if this story about Z-Bo crushing it in a game of pool basketball is real or not, but I don't care. The mental image of Z-Bo in swim trunks, dunking on little kids is too great not to share.

- Speaking of the Grizz: welcome back, Mike Miller.

- Trolley ridership is at an all-time high, up 6.1 percent over last year. Huh.

- The Downtown Deja Vu is coming along; we're just still not sure when it will actually open.
