Save the Date: Bikesploitation 3 is This Weekend
This weekend, park your bicycle under the giant bike wheel disco ball in Crosstown for the third annual Bikesploitation film, music and art festival.
There's so much happening at this year's event that the festival has been extended to three days. It startsFriday night at 5 p.m. with the opening of the bike art gallery and a live sculpture from Yvonne Bobo and ends on Sunday with mini races.
Between then, there are screenings of bicycle-themed films, live music on the Mobile Music Machine (a bicycle trailer that doubles as a stage), a vintage bike show, roller races, a special two-wheeled version of the Amurica photo booth, and tons of interactive art.
The event is open to bicycle lovers of all ages, and they'll have drinks for sale and food from Stickem Food Truck. You can also get a fresh smoothie made in a pedal-powerded blender.
