Happy Memphis Beer Week! Here's How to Celebrate

This week (April 21 - 27) marks the first annual Memphis Beer Week, which is exactly what it sounds like: seven glorious days of beer-related celebrations, tastings, beer dinners and samplings.

On any given night this week, you'll be able to sample beers from local and regional breweries (including but not limited to  Ghost River, Abita, Stone and Brooklyn Brewing), attend beer pairing dinners, drink limited-edition beers and learn about beer from the brewers who make it.

For the inagural year of the festival, the organizers have done an impressive job packing the week with events. I was going to list them all out, but it would have taken me at least an hour. Instead, I'll refer you to the official Memphis Beer Week list of events

The week ends with the fourth annual Memphis BrewFest at AutoZone Park on Saturday the 27th at 4 p.m. Tickets are $41 and include tastings of more than 200 different beers.

This sounds like a fun event.  Micro breweries are excellent and it is a great chance to taste the brews from all the World and special made beers. I think this is good for the Memphis area.  Maybe it can become a tradition.
