Go ahead and mark your calendars – the Levitt Shell has released the schedule for their free summer concert series.

If you've never been before, the shows are family friendly and super fun. You're allowed to bring blankets and lawn chairs, and coolers and picnic baskets are welcome. Alcohol is allowed for those over 21, and if you're not into bringing food, there's usually at least one food truck usually on hand.

The Shell's summer concert series runs May 23 ttrough July 13. The shows take a break during the hottest part of the summer, then pick back up in August for the Fall concert series.

My wife and I took the kids this past Thursday to see Spirit Family Reunion, and it was a blast. It is definitely something to do both with, or without short people who ask fifty questions a minute. We will be there every night that we can, rain or shine, throughout the season. The price was right, too- but don't be afraid to throw a few bucks in the green buckets to help keep the thing going.
