Last week, it was covered in chalk, and this week, the Brooks Museum plaza is wrapped in yarn.

Knit the Brooks, Memphis, Tenn.

The Memphis Knit Mafia and their friends spent the weekend yarn bombing the Brooks in conjunction with the museum's "Angels and Tomboys: Girlhood in Nineteenth Century American Art". More than 50 contributors provided hand-knit and crochet rectanges to the massive installation.
