Save the Date: Art and Soul at the Dixon

If you haven't had a chance to check out "Present Tense" (the Dixon's current exhibit of Memphis art from the past 10 years), there's no better way to see it than during their Art and Soul party on Friday night.

Much like the exhibit, the party is going to be an all-Memphis extravaganza. They'll have a miniature Raiford's dance floor (though, no word on whether or not the man himself will be there), barbecue from One & Only and an after party at Swanky's Taco Shop.

The event is free for members of Young at Art and $35 for everybody else.

What: Art and Soul Party

Where: Dixon Gallery and Gardens

When: Friday, March 8, 7 p.m.

How much: Free for Young at Art members, $35 for everyone else (includes food and open bar)

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.
