This year, more than 75 local non-profits are participating, which makes the Volunteer Expo a one-stop shop for do gooders of all kinds. Representatives from the organizations will be on hand to tell you about what they do, answer questions and sign up volunteers.

There's really something for everybody - health care groups, museums, arts organizations, youth groups. If you can volunteer to do it, one of these organizations can probably use your help.

Here are a few of the participating agencies:

- Brooks Museum
- Friends for Life
- St. Jude
- Memphis Zoo
- Memphis in May
- Memphis Light Gas and Water
- Church Health Center
- Clean Memphis
- SRVS
- Porter Leath
- Youth Villages
- United Way

And the list goes on (and on).

If you're interested in volunteering but can't make it to the Expo, you can view and register for all volunteer opportunities through Volunteer Mid-South's website.

Hello! In the same non-profit vein, I was just reading about this organization in Buffalo, NY that "heart bombs"  buildings...sounds like something the citizens in Memphis could get behind! http://www.designsponge.com/2013/02/heart-bombs-young-preservationists-spreading-the-love.html
