May – and Sunset Symphony – are months away, but a Memphis Redditor unearthed a vintage Memphis in May clip that I had to share.

Here's video of Hyter's 1998 performance:

For 21 years, James Hyter's performance of "Old Man River" with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra was a beloved local sing-a-long tradition. Hyter, a former insurance salesman, died in 2009 and, needless to say, Sunset Symphony hasn't been the same since.
