Win Tickets to the Best Halloween Party in Memphis

The annual Friends for Life Halloween party is one of Memphis' most insane annual costume parties, and I've got two tickets to give away.

Apocalypse poster - final

The apocalypse-themed party is on Saturday, Oct. 27th at Bridges (that cool, strangely-shaped building across the street from St. Jude). Tickets are $40 per person with the proceeds going to Friends for Life, a Memphis charity that works with people affected by HIV/AIDS.

If you'd like to win two tickets to the apocyalypse, all you have to do is tell me what costume you're wearing this year via comment, Twitter reply or Facebook comment by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19th. The winner will be chosen based on creativity, idea and my own whims.

Ready, go!

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.

My boyfriend will be the Terminator and I will be the cop..only a female version. Still rocking it though.

I'm going as a time traveler. The costume combines elements of Doctor Who, Booster Gold, Cable, Bill & Ted, Back to the Future, Torchwood, Time Bandits, and Harry Potter.

I'll be going as the Apollonia to my boyfriend's Prince…because Purple Rain is awesome.

I'm going as an air conditioner, and my girlfriend will have a wart on.

We are going to be either the bad guys/girls from Mad Max or Apocapunks..

Oh no! I missed this…oh well, I will be Melanie Daniels from The Birds, replete with crows and fake blood.

  11. Dan Ketterer says:

If Apocalypse is "the party to end all parties" as it is being toted as, how is it even possible there is an Afterparty?  It makes my brain hurt to think about it, so I think I'll be needing zombie corrective therapy!
