The Memphis chapter of the Recording Academy (aka, the Grammys) is hosting their annual music industry conference at the Stax Museum this weekend. It's a day-long conversation on the state of the music business, breaking into the business and the skills it takes to succeed in a difficult industry. This year, the Academy is bringing in some incredible panelists: Jonathan Poneman, founder of Sub-Pop records, will deliver the keynote and rapper Talib Kweli is going to lead a panel on socially conscious hip-hop.
Tickets are free for Recording Academy and Grammy U members and $35 for everyone else.
