365 Things to Do in Memphis #261: Frolic in a Fountain

Update June 28, 2016: The downtown fountains by City Hall will be closed for the entirety of the 2016 summer due to renovations.

After more than a year out of service, the best fountain in Memphis is back on. Who wants to run through it with me?

Fountain, Civic Center Plaza, Memphis, Tenn.

We don’t have much time, though. The fountains may stay on year-round, but it’s starting to get just a little too cold to frolic in the water. We could walk through them, ride your bike next to them, or have a full-on splash park style romp. Who’s with me?

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.
