It's that time again – voting is open in Memphis' most legit reader's poll. Assignment #193 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis is to cast your ballot for the Memphis Flyer's Best of Memphis.
I look forward to the Memphis Flyer's annual poll every year. It just seems much more democratic and legitimate than a lot of "best whatever" polls.
Here are a few things to know before you vote:
1.) You have to fill out at least 50 percent of the ballot in order for it to count.
2.) There are drop down menus with some popular nominees, but if you've got a better candidate, you can write your answers in the blanks provided. (Speaking of those blanks, I really wish that the Flyer would go back to publishing the funniest write-in answers.)
3.) Please – and this is a personal request – vote local. This is the Best of Memphis poll, not the Best Stuff You Can Find Anywhere poll. In short, please don't vote Olive Garden for best Italian or Starbucks for best coffee.
4.) If you love I Love Memphis, show a little love in the "Best Blog" and "Best Twitter" category. It would be most appreciated.
Who are you voting for this year? What categories do you wish were included?
