The mostly beige decor at most hospitals can’t generally be classified as uplifting. But most hospitals aren't Le Bonheur. Assignment #154 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis is to check out the massive art collection at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.

The new Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital building includes more than 400 pieces of original art by regional artists (including Yvonne Bobo and Greely Myatt). About 250 of the works were done by area students. The works, which are scattered throughout the hospital, provide colorful, visual distractions for the hospital's young patients.

Right now, there aren't any public tours of the collection, but if you ever find yourself at the hospital (and I hope that you don't, unless you're there to volunteer), be sure to take a look around.
