Every year, thousands of crawfish fans flock to downtown Memphis for the annual Rajun Cajun Crawfish Festival, the largest mudbug fest in the city.
The 31st annual Rajun Cajun Crawfish Festival takes place along the riverfront on Riverside Dr. on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
From 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., the Rajun Cajun crew will cook, season, and serve more than 17,000 pounds of crawfish.
There will be live music on two stages, vendors, a gumbo cooking contest, and all sorts of crawfish-related games (bobbing for crawfish, crawfish eating, crawfish racing, crawfish eating contests). Access to the River Garden Park will be available for kids to play.
The family friendly festival takes place Downtown Memphis on Riverside Drive (between Jefferson and Union.) Admission is free, but you can buy VIP tickets for all-you-can eat/drink Swamp tent.
The festival features live swamp soul, rhythm & blues entertainment from Dikki Du and The Zydeco Krewe on the Orion Main Stage and Freeworld on the Southland Casino Hotel Riverside Stage.
Proceeds from the 31st annual festival supports programs and services that Porter-Leath provides for over 40,000 local children and families.
