Memphians love locally-made Ghost River beer. We drink it in bars, we buy it in six packs, we hover around the Ghost River table at local festivals, refilling our tiny cups.

Assignment #116 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis is to tour the Ghost River Brewery and see where the magic is made. And taste it.

Ghost River Bottle Cap, Memphis, Tenn.

Every Saturday, you can tour the brewery at noon. Make your reservations here.

It’s a $20 tour, but it’s well worth it. You get four tasting samples plus a full pint of beer in addition to an hour long tour guided by the experts.

Read more about the taproom, which is open Wednesdays through Sunday for drinking and hanging out, here.

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.
