Wednesday News Update: New food trucks, Super Bowl Parties and Basketball for the Cure
It's time for the Wednesday News Update, but first, check out this nerd graffiti on the chalkboard in the Otherlands bathroom. It's the first time I've ever seen anyone smack talk a 16th century astronomer:
– Break out the cake and wish a happy birthday to Lisa Marie Presley. Elvis and Priscilla's daughter was born on Feb. 1, 1968.
– Be still, my heart: Central Barbecue is working on a food truck. Provided all of the inspections go well, the tie-dyed truck will be on the streets later this month.
– If you're looking for a place to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday, Paul R. has a list of all of the downtown bars that will have specials during the game.
– On Saturday, the U of M women's basketball team is wearing pink to support breast cancer awareness during their game against UCF at the FedExForum. Fans that show up in pink will get into the game for free, and the first 700 will get a free pink beanie. Also, the U of M men's basketball team will be wearing pink duing their noon game against Xavier in support of the women's team and the cause.
