365 Things to Do in Memphis #47: See the Bison at Shelby Farms

Assignment #47 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis is to hang out with some of the most majestic creatures in Memphis.

Shelby Farms Park is home to a large herd of American Bison. They live on a 50 acre range in the middle of the park. You can see them by driving through the park, but there are a few places where you can park and get a little closer.

You can also support the park by adopting one of the large critters. The money raised through the adoptions is used to care for the herd.
