This week, several hundred blues musicians from around the world are heading to downtown Memphis for the annual International Blues Challenge. Assignment #32 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis is to go see them.

The 32nd annual IBC, which is hosted by the Blues Foundation, runs from January 26 – 30, 2016. This year’s participants have come from more than a dozen countries and almost every state to compete for prize money and gig bookings. They’ll be judged on vocals, instrumentals, originality and stage presence.

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.

So I know you totally don't have time for it, but it would be fan-freaking-tastic if you had things for highschoolers to do in this ever so interesting city of Memphis. We are quite the bored crowd.
