If there is better potato soup in Memphis than what's served at Huey's, I challenge you to find it.
Huey's is most well-known for their burgers, but if there was a Best of Memphis category for "Best Potato Soup", they'd probably win that, too. Their soup is like smooth and creamy liquid mashed potatoes. Like the best baked potatoes, it comes loaded with shredded cheddar, bacon (not Bacon Bits) and green onions. It's total cold weather comfort soup.
I'm not too proud to say that sometimes, I order mine with a side of fries.

It is delicious! And the recipe was printed in the CA years ago… and I still have it! Too lazy to make it, though, much rather just go there.

I love this soup, but the Cordova location is very inconsistant with it. I have been disappointed on several occasions. Midtown was awesome though.
