365 Things to Do in Memphis #13: Dance on the Soul Train Dance Floor

Assignment #13 is to show off your sweet moves on the "Soul Train" dance floor at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music.

Soul Train dance floor, Stax Museum, Memphis, Tenn.

Why just watch "Soul Train" on a giant, curved screen when pretending like you're there is so much more fun? The dance floor is pretty big, so you can dance with your friends (or start a dance party and make some new ones).

The Stax Musuem is free to Shelby County residents after 1 p.m. on Tuesdays. Is anyone up for a dance party flash mob?

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.

The Cottrell – Smith song writing team is awesome! “This Is Our God” was a part of my song set for to2da&#8y17;s worship services and I accompanied a soloist at a wedding yesterday who sang “This Is the Day”!
