In other news:

- If you're a regular cyclist or pedestrian, the City of Memphis could use your help. They're looking for photos of the things you see while you're out on the streets, good, bad or otherwise. Send the (preferably high-resolution) photos along with your name and contact info and a short description and the photo's location to [email protected].

- The Mid-South Food Bank is in desperate need of donations of non-perishable food items for area families in need. There's a food drive being organized through Facebook. To help, you can do one of three things: donate to the Food Bank through their website, tell your friends about the drive, or bring canned goods to either the Germantown Athletic Club, the Lunaweb offices, Goner Records or the LaunchPad (at Emerge Memphis) between Aug. 29 and Sept. 12.

- If you're planning to head to the awesome Memphis Zoo soon, you can save $2 on tickets with this coupon from the CVB. It's good until the end of the month. Hint - print the coupon under the "Deals" tab.

- One of the writers for Third Coast Daily was in town, and she's got an interesting photo essay about all of the shoes she saw on Beale St.
