Found: Jerry Lawler’s Autograph

It’s been a while since I’ve checked anything off of the Memphis scavenger hunt list, but I haven’t given up. I found another item on Friday night: Jerry Lawler’s autograph.

Having watched Jerry Lawler (who I always refer to by his full name for some reason) get mobbed by fans as we walked from the lobby to backstage at the “Memphis Heat” screening at the Orpheum on Friday night, I was a little bit shy about asking him to sign anything.

But, after I introduced him and some of the film’s other stars before the show, I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask. He was really nice about it – he found a blue sharpie and signed the back of my notes.
