- Flood Update: The Mississippi river is now at 46 feet. Mud Island River Park is closed. Non-mandatory evacuation notices are being hand-delivered by police to more than 1000 residents. Volunteers are filling sandbags at the Pyramid today until 6 p.m. (and you’re invited – bring a shovel). The flood has its own blog.

- Booker T. Jones’s NPR Tiny Desk Concert is live. It’s worth watching to see how the fit a giant Hammond B3 organ into a tiny office and the huge grin on Booker T.’s face when he plays “Green Onions”.
