Random Yard Grave of the Week

Random Yard Grave of the Week

You guys really know how to up the ante.

After I posted about the Bettis Family Cemetery yesterday, I got a tweet from reader Preston C. saying that while hidden cemeteries are great and all, he could do one better.

To which I responded, "Pictures or it didn't happen".

When I checked my email this morning,  this was in my inbox:

According to Preston, the grave is for a man who was born in the late 1800s, died in 1937 and was buried in his front yard.

Well, then.

We live in a wonderful city. I learned through Tom Leatherwood's website that I actually live one street over from my relatives when they lived in midtown in the late 1800's. And having seen the cemetery you posted on, I was curious about the history.
