Meet Memphian #39, Vote for New Library Cards, and Brace for Another Winter Weather Event

365 Memphians - Kate Crowder

Kate is a mom, elementary school teacher and total rock star. Her old band, Two-Way Radio, was featured in Craig Brewer's "$5 Cover", and her new band, Wuvbirds, is playing shows all over town. She's also one of the forces behind the annual Delta Girls Rock'n'Roll Camp.

In other news:

- It's almost becoming habit - Memphis is supposed to have some kind of winter weather event tomorrow. Apparently, we've got at 100 percent chance of snow in the morning. The good news is, we've had so much snow this year that you're probably all stocked up on milk sandwich supplies.

- The Memphis Public Library is redesigning their library cards, and they want your help. They're considering four designs by Memphis College of Art students. You can vote for your favorite between now and February 25th.

- If you want to get out and about tonight, it's trivia night at the Flying Saucer, the P&H and the Cove. If that's not your thing, I'm DJ-ing beer bust at the Hi-Tone from 9:30ish until 1ish. There's no cover, but there is a $5 beer bust and $1 slices of cheese pizza.
