In other news:
- Local dance company Project:Motion is looking for volunteers for their 2010 - 2011 season. They need help backstage, with costumes, promotions, parties and office work. If you love modern dance, you should give it a try. Sign up here.
- If you're having lunch or dinner at the awesome Fuel Cafe this month, make sure you get a brownie for dessert. This month, the proceeds from brownie sales will benefit Citizens to Preserve Overton Park, a group that's constantly working to make sure the city's largest park is kept safe, clean and green.
- Want to get out of the house tonight? There's a screening of "Lady Sings the Blues" at Studio on the Square (7 p.m., $10). There's also going to be a big Elvis Week kick of concert at the Levitt Shell featuring award-winning Elvis Tribute Artist Donny Edwards.
- I've got to share one of my favorite locally made videos with you. My friend and fellow statesman John Hubbell has been working on mini-documentaries called the Soundtrack Project for the Greater Memphis Chamber. Each one features a local business and has an original score. This one on Neola Farms Beef is my favorite:
