Order In: 8 Memphis Restaurants that Deliver
For those times when you’re both hungry and lazy, order in from one of these locally owned delivery restaurants:
1. Camy’s
Phone number: (901) 725-1667
What they’ll bring you: Pizzas, sandwiches, pasta, hot wings, salads, steak. This is possibly the only place in town that will bring you an 8 oz. ribeye. I recommend the barbecue pizza – it’s tangy, barbecue-topped perfection.
Speed: They said 30 minutes for my pizza, and they had it to me in 20.
Delivery area: Midtown and downtown
Phone number: (901) 278-0034
What they’ll bring you: Anything from their huge menu of sandwiches, quesadillas, pizzas and fried foods. I recommend getting a side of their amazing fries (they’ll give you a ton of ketchup packets).
Speed: It may take a little while -the Deli isn’t known for their amazing service. If you don’t mind being a little patient, the food is totally worth it.
Delivery area: Cooper Young and the immediate area around it.
Phone number: Downtown – (901) 523-2065, U of M area – (901) 458-4880,
What they’ll bring you: Chinese food, and lots of it. I had the egg drop soup, crab rangoon and Mu-Shu vegetables (which came with tortillas to put the veggies in). They’ve got a $12 delivery minimum, so plan accordingly.
Speed: Generally, delivery times are about 30 – 45 minutes.
Delivery area: With three locations in Memphis, they’ll bring you food pretty much anywhere.
4. Ubee’s
Phone number: (901) 323-0900
What they’ll bring you: Patty melts that will change your life. They’ve also got salads, custom sandwiches, hummus and burgers. They deliver their full menu until 3 a.m. every day.
Speed: From their shop near the U of M to Cooper Young, about 30 minutes.
Delivery area: Pretty much anywhere in the 240 loop.
Phone number: (901) 275-8752
What they’ll bring you: Anything from their menu of sandwiches, salads, and entrees. I highly recommend the Island Club. Sadly, they won’t bring you breakfast – delivery runs from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. There’s a $10 minimum on delivery orders.
Speed: Pretty fast – think 30 minutes.
Delivery area: Downtown only.
6. Frank’s Main St. Market and Deli
Phone number: (901) 523-0101
What they’ll bring you: Grilled sandwiches, wraps, salads, cake. They’ve got daily specials, so ask about them when you call in your order.
Speed: Frank’s delivers by bicycle, so as fast as their delivery girl can ride.
Delivery area: Downtown only. Alas.
7. Tucker’s
Phone number: (901) 274-0333
What they’ll bring you: Just about anything. Tucker’s is known for their hot wings, but they’ve also got burgers, fried chicken, cheesecake, catfish. Seriously, they’ve got it all. Delivery is free on orders of $7 or more. If your order is less than that, there’s a $1 delivery charge.
Speed: The standard 30 to 45 minutes.
Delivery area: Midtown and downtown only.
8. Ferraro’s
Phone number: (901) 522-2033
What they’ll bring you: Pizzas, pasta, soups, antipasto, and their house special stromboli.
Speed: That all depends on where you are. Think 30 minutes.
Delivery area: Their website claims that they deliver to uptown, downtown, midtown and Mud Island.

PS – LOVE YOUR BLOG!!!!!!!!
2:27 pm
dang, I meant to suggest the Park/Mt. Moriah dynamic duo, Asian Palace Express (take-out satellite store of the nice Bartlett restaurant) and SteakOut. Those two got me through college without a car!! Still haven’t found better Chinese than that place…..
2:27 pm
yesss!
I mean, #1 & #2 have been in rotation but it’s so great to have a list of a bit more variety at hand!
2:45 pm
Don’t forget Garibaldi’s! And Yates location covers a lot of East Memphis!
4:29 pm
You need to include Meals in Motion! They’re a company in East Memphis that picks up food and delivers it to you, for a really small fee. They deliver from Mortimer’s, Las Delicias, Patricks’, Lucchesi’s, and several other places. I think the delivery fee is around $4 or $5!
4:30 pm
I had no idea – thanks for the heads up. I’ll check them out.
5:46 pm

I really wish there more places that deliver elsewhere. Seems that if it’s not pizza, chinese or jason’s deli alot of people in places other than downtown, midtown or the U of M area are just out of luck.
