Girls named Kerry apparently love the chicken salad sandwich at the Trolley Stop Market.
When the server brought me my sandwich and cucumber tomato salad, she said that there had been at least three girls with my name who had the exact same order today.

The Trolley Stop Market opened this week after months of teasing us with Facebook updates on all of the delicious local food and homemade goods they would have. The owners (local farmers Keith and Jill Forrester) have created an inviting, airy space with plenty of tables, a bar and a large area for locally grown food and handmade gifts.
Jillbilly’s, the hot food counter, serves breakfast from 7 a.m. – 10:30 a.m and lunch from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. daily. It was busy when I went in for lunch around 1 p.m. today. The service was was quick and efficient, but it can be a little difficult to find anything you need to go with your meal (napkins, butter, etc.) They’re brand new, so it seems like they’re still working out some of the details.
My sandwich wasn’t huge, but it was dense – a huge scoop of chicken salad with lettuce and tomato on two pieces of toast. The chicken salad was just the way I like it – simple, and with no intruding bits of fruit or nuts. I had the perfect-for-summer cucumber and tomato salad on the side.
I started eating before I remembered to take the picture.
One of the servers randomly brought over a slice of tomato and mozzarella pizza for me to try, which was totally sweet of him. The pizza was awesome – the thin, crispy crust was loaded with sweet sauce, tomatoes, and circles of mozzarella.
The Trolley Stop Market is open Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m., on Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., and on Sunday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. If you’re coming from downtown, catch the Madison Ave. trolley going east. There’s a stop right across from the market. If you’re driving, there’s plenty of parking behind the building.

had a tom-mozz slice yesterday. it’s my favorite crust in Memphis (but could have been a little hotter). Love the Market and congrats to Jill and Keith.

Got a ham & cheese sandwich today. It was cold pre-packaged sliced meat and unmelted cheese on texas toast. Not impressed. However, the pizza is to die for and the lunch meals are great (portions are small though). A mixed bag.
