On Board for Skatelife Memphis

Aaron Shafer wants to take a picture of you with his skateboard.

Aaron is the man behind Skatelife Memphis, an organization that promotes skateboarding in Memphis. Skatelife just built a skateboard ramp at the Greenlaw Community Center with grant money from Nike. It's been a huge hit with neighborhood kids - more than 60 have used the ramp at Greenlaw. Twenty-five of those kids (half of them girls) have used the ramp at least once a week.

Skatelife Memphis is applying for a grant for $250,000 from Pepsi. If they win, the grant money will go to providing more Memphis area kids with access to safe places to skateboard in the Binghampton neighborhood.

In order to win the Pepsi grant, Skatelife Memphis is going to need a lot of help. Aaron has taken more than 300 pictures of people holding his skateboard.

Vote for Skatelife Memphis to win the Pepsi grant.
