Find Your New Favorite Food With Mark’s Menus

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m one of those people who gets in the bad habit of ordering the same three dishes every time I go to a favorite restaurant. For example,  you meet me for brunch at Beauty Shop, chances are I’m either eating fish tacos or a veggie sandwich. Sometimes, when I find something I like, it’s easier to stick with it than take a risk on a new food.

This is why I love Mark’s Menus.

Marks Menus, Memphis, Tenn.

Mark’s Menus was founded in Memphis by Mark Dinstuhl about a year ago. The site features local restaurant menus and allows users to comment on specific dishes. You can also use the site to find restaurants serving a specific dish (think “sushi” or “burgers”).

I love the comments on the menu items. There’s something about that extra little recommendation from a total stranger that can usually convince me to try something new. Users and restaurant owners can also add new menu items or restaurant information to the site. For example, I added the breakfast burrito to the Bardog Tavern listing and made a quick, glowing comment.

Right now, Mark’s Menus is only available in a handful of cities (Memphis and Austin, Texas are on the list), but they’ll be expanding soon.
