Check it out, everybody – the marquee for Memphis the Musical is up at the Shubert Theatre in New York City.
The show officially opens next Monday, and I’m completely stoked about getting to be there for opening night. The story is about a sultry singer and a young radio DJ and the birth of rock’n'roll (and, of course, their love).
If there’s anything you want to know about the show, please let me know. I’ll be blogging / tweeting / facebooking from the opening, so I’ll try to get answers for you.

See if you can get Jon Bon Jovi to hold an “I love Memphis” sign.
If I see him, I’m going to try. “Excuse me, Mr. Bon Jovi – will you hold my sign?”
i do really want to see this but im afraid a)it wont do memphis justice b)i will be painfully jealous im not in it.
I have a friend (a native Memphian who lives in Baltimore) who saw it a few days ago and LOVED it. She said it’s already getting early Tony buzz.
